The minimum wage in New Jersey is scheduled to increase on January 1, 2022 to $13.00 an hour.

This is part of legislation signed by Governor Murphy in early 2019 which began with an increase of the minimum wage to $10.00 effective July 1st, 2019. Thereafter, increases were scheduled for each January 1st until reaching $15.00/hour in 2024.

Effective date: Jan. 1, 2022
Regular wage: $13.00
Small employers & seasonal workers: $11.90
Farm labor: $10.90
Tip credit: $7.87
Training wage: $11.70
